The Family Behind Mi Lucero
Mi Lucero isn’t just a brand—it’s a family legacy, lovingly built over three generations.
Our story began in the late 1960s with Juan Martín, a skilled artisan who returned to his hometown in the village of Canillas de Aceituno, nestled in the hills of Andalusia, Málaga, after perfecting his craft in Barcelona. With the support of his wife Remi, Juan founded Mi Lucero with a vision to create timeless children’s knitwear rooted in craftsmanship and care.
To this day, the heart of Mi Lucero remains in that same village—our factory is still attached to Juan and Remi’s home, where it all began. It's a place filled with family, memories, and the rhythm of generations working together.
Today, their sons José and Daniel carry on the family tradition, running the business with their wives Mari and Beatriz. Together, they oversee everything from design to production, continuing the legacy of excellence and heart.
And the story continues. The third generation—Juan’s grandchildren—return home each summer from university and graduate school to help with the family business. Whether it's preparing for trade shows or assisting in the workshop, they play a part in keeping the family’s spirit alive in every season.

Our Process: Crafted for Comfort and Quality
Every one of our knit pieces is made from 100% premium cotton, offering a soft, breathable feel perfect for babies and children. We take great care to ensure that our pieces are not only luxurious but also practical for everyday use.
Our knitwear is preshrunk through a meticulous process: each piece is carefully knit together, then laundered and steamed to size. This ensures minimal shrinkage after washing, so your child’s favorite garments maintain their shape and comfort wash after wash.
Designed for ease of care, our knitwear is machine washable, making it as convenient as it is comfortable. The lightweight fabric is gentle on sensitive skin, providing an extra layer of comfort while allowing for plenty of movement.
To complement our knit pieces, we have recently introduced woven designs into our collection. These pieces are made with Spanish-sourced fabrics, adding a beautiful texture and depth to our offerings. Each woven garment is crafted in local factories in Spain, ensuring high-quality production while supporting the artisans and factories in the region.
